Long Dresses for Summer

Summer heat is coming so soon. Boracay is still one of my vacation spot during summer. As fashion lover and sewer, I am thinking of making the same cut with this design :-)

Take a look at the dress of thecenter model. That is the one I prefer to sew :D

Basic Requirements in Dress Making

Yesterday was my 1st day in my dress making class. And to start with, we were given list of basic requirements in dress making.


1. Tape measure
2. Ruler
3. Pencil with eraser
4. 5 pcs. of empty sack of flour
5. 5 pcs. of pattern paper
6. Dixan or tailor chalk
7. Scissors
8. Tracing wheel
9. French curve
10. Bobbin
11. Tracing paper
12. Machine needle #14
13. Hand Needle
14. Pins with head
15. Pin cushion
16. Thread
17. Bobbin Case
18. Ripper

We started sewing yesterday following a pattern of 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8".

It was not my 1st time to sew but I was really having a hard time in controlling my path. Imagine, 1/8" distance from each other.hehehe
